Local Post Delivery

In Tavaklı Village, there is no home delivery of post. All mail addressed to residents of the village is dropped off at the village shop. It is your personal responsibility to collect your own post, and it is advisable to check regularly.

Within Turkey, local post such as utility bills, bank letters and general correspondence is usually reliable and arrives without major problems.

Overseas Mail

Unfortunately, postal deliveries from overseas are not reliable. From long experience:

Post sent from abroad often does not arrive at all, or
Gets lost somewhere in transit.

For this reason, it is strongly advised not to send anything important by normal international post, including documents, bank cards, certificates or valuables. More secure courier services should always be used for important items.

Cargo and Courier Services

There are no courier or cargo companies operating directly in Tavaklı Village or Tavaklı İskelesi. However, goods can easily be ordered online or by phone and sent to the relevant cargo office in Ezine.
