Directions to Tavaklı İskelesi from Ezine [ click here for map ]

If you are travelling from Çanakkale, continue through the town of Ezine on the main highway. After Yanmazlar Service Station on your right, take the next right-hand turning signposted for Bozcaada and Gülpınar.

If you are coming from the İzmir direction, you will reach a set of traffic lights and a roundabout junction shortly before Ezine. Turn left at this junction and follow the signs for Bozcaada and Gülpınar.

1️⃣ Ezine to Kemallı – approx. 12 km (12 minutes)

From the main Çanakkale–İzmir highway, follow the road towards Bozcaada/Gülpınar.
This section includes:

  • A large concrete fabrication factory on your right (after a few kilometres)
  • A hill climb
  • A fuel station on your right just before the Bozcaada turn-off (which you do not take)

Continue straight ahead. Do not turn off for Bozcaada.
You will soon pass the village of Kemallı on your right.

2️⃣ Kemallı to Körüktaşı – approx. 3 km

Continue on the same road until you reach Körüktaşı.
Here, the main road ends at a T-junction where it meets a country lane.

At this point, you have two choices. You can follow our other route to Tavaklı village and then just drive the 3 km from the village down to the coast road at Tavaklı İskelesi. You can also take the more scenic, and slightly shorter route as follows:

At this T-junction, turn right and climb up a hill until you start travelling downwards. The views over the countryside are spectacular and the coastline unfolds in front of you. Travel along this road for 3 km until you reach the Kestanbol Termal Hotel (Alexandria Troas Termal Hotel). Stay on the main road and do not turn off.

3️⃣ Kestanbol to Tavaklı İskelesi – approx. 9 km

Just follow the road through the countryside and past Rizom Köyü, Assos Resort Hotel, a large complex which will be on your right. Keep going along this road until you reach Tavaklı İskelesi.
