Directions to Tavaklı Köyü from Ezine [ click here for map ]
If you are travelling from Çanakkale, continue through the town of Ezine on the main highway. After Yanmazlar Service Station on your right, take the next right-hand turning signposted for Bozcaada and Gülpınar.
If you are coming from the İzmir direction, you will reach a set of traffic lights and a roundabout junction shortly before Ezine. Turn left at this junction and follow the signs for Bozcaada and Gülpınar.
1️⃣ Ezine to Kemallı – approx. 12 km (12 minutes)
From the main Çanakkale–İzmir highway, follow the road towards Bozcaada/Gülpınar.
This section includes:
A large concrete fabrication factory on your right (after a few kilometres)
A hill climb
A fuel station on your right just before the Bozcaada turn-off (which you do not take)
Continue straight ahead. Do not turn off for Bozcaada.
You will soon pass the village of Kemallı on your right.
2️⃣ Kemallı to Körüktaşı – approx. 3 km
Continue on the same road until you reach Körüktaşı.
Here, the main road ends at a T-junction where it meets a country lane.
At this T-junction, turn left into Körüktaşı village.
3️⃣ Körüktaşı to Uluköy – approx. 3 km
Continue into the village and take the first right and follow the narrow rural road towards Uluköy.
When you reach Uluköy:
A fuel station will be on your left
A small weighbridge office will be on your right
Do not continue straight.
Instead, bear right onto the very narrow road (give way to oncoming traffic). You know that you are on the right road when you see the mosque on your left as you enter the main part of the village. Follow the road out of the village, careful of the speed bumps by the school.
4️⃣ Uluköy to Akçakeçili – approx. 3 km
Stay on the same road
5️⃣ Akçakeçili to Alemşah – approx. 2 km
Stay on the same road as it winds through the countryside.
You will soon enter the village of Alemşah.
6️⃣ Alemşah to Tavaklı Köyü – approx. 2 km
Continue through Alemşah.
The road climbs a hill and then leads directly onwards to Tavaklı Köyü, your destination.
